At the foot of Mount Ararat

Saint Thaddeus Church is located in the town of Masis, near the foot of Mount Ararat. From the church courtyard there is a magnificent view of Ararat, which makes the site particularly symbolic.

Construction

The church was built in the 21st century in the traditional Armenian architectural style. It is named in honor of the Apostle Saint Thaddeus, who, according to tradition, preached Christianity in Armenia in the 1st century.

Today

Today it serves as the spiritual center of the town of Masis. Thanks to the view of Ararat, it is also popular among visitors and photographers.
