On June 4 at 7:30 PM, at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall, the audience will have the opportunity to enjoy works by the most prominent Uruguayan and Argentine composers in the history of tango, presented in a unique and contemporary interpretation. The concert program is mainly based on the compositions from the musicians’ latest album, “Tango Animal.” Batimento Duo is an Uruguayan instrumental ensemble featuring Ignacio Correa and Andrés Rey. Using regional music as a foundation, they explore a variety of musical perspectives, specializing in River Plate genres such as tango, waltz, and milonga. The ensemble has performed at Uruguay’s most prestigious venues, including Solís Theatre, Sala Zitarrosa, and Sala Hugo Balzo (SODRE). The musicians have participated in international festivals, masterclasses, and concert programs in various countries around the world, from Colombia and Mexico to Japan, Spain, England, Finland, and Argentina.
